Venilil is a small hobby kennel located on the South East Coast of Attica, in Greece. We breed parti-colour cockers and our highest priority is health, type and temperament. Our dogs are first and foremost our pets and best friends, who also win well in  the show ring.They live inside the house, as they are of course members of our family.     In 2001 we bought our first show dog, Oliver (Captive Audience of Ware) from one of the oldest and most famous kennels for it's history ''Of Ware''. Having a dog like Oliver, who carries such a great history is a big honour for us and words like "Thank you" are not enough to express how grateful we are to Mrs Jennifer Lloyd Carey for trusting us such a precious cocker.     After a few years of showing Oliver we decided to bring our foundation bitch.At that time our mind was made up for exactly what we were looking for so...kennel Lynwater was the one that we chose for our first female to start our breeding. Lilly (Lynwater Evening Primrose) came in August 2005 and then we could finally start planning our own future kennel.   From our first litter, we decided to keep a male puppy for showing.When Lewis (Venilil White Knight) was born we knew that "he would be the one" and he has proved that besides having a wonderful character, he is a really good show-dog making us very...very proud !     At this point we would like to make clear that:   We do NOT breed to sell or gain money.Breeding is NOT our living. This is obvious since we rarely have a litter, perhaps once every 2-3 years when we want to keep a puppy of our own. Every owner is strictly chosen and we want to make sure that our puppies will have a well deserved life.     Dog-Showing, for us, is not just a hobby. It's a way to confirm that what we do is right, that our determination and effort is leading us down the correct path.Visiting exhibitions abroad, admiring dogs, talking with highly experienced breeders and exchanging opinions is the least we can do to try and get deeper and deeper in the knowledge of the English Cocker Spaniel. Furthermore...there are these kind of moments that give you the goosebumps when you get a well deserved win.Tears of happiness when your own breeding dog is in 1st place....
